Pence Brings Darts, Aims Them at His Rivals

Mike Pence stayed out of the extended squabbling, primarily between Vivek Ramaswamy and Tim Scott, which has taken over the stage at times. But when moderators gave him a turn in the spotlight, he used the moment to throw barbs at some of his rivals.
Pence pointed out that Ramaswamy has only recently started voting in presidential elections. As the Journal has reported, Ramaswamy said he voted for a libertarian candidate in 2004 and then didn’t vote in a presidential election again until the 2020 election, when he backed Donald Trump. Then, Pence turns on Ron DeSantis, saying that spending in Florida rose by 30% under his watch. We haven’t heard a response yet from the Florida governor.
