Pedestrian killed after being struck by a car in Goshen Twp.

A Cincinnati man is dead after being struck by a car as he was walking in a lane of traffic on Ohio 28 in Goshen Township last night.

Officers continue to investigate the death of 53-year-old Timothy Gorman in Clermont County, the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The release said preliminary indications are that Gorman was walking in the eastbound lane of travel on Ohio 28 when he was struck by a 2005 Toyota Matrix traveling in the same direction about 10 p.m.

A 2005 Ford 500 traveling behind the Toyota Matrix was struck by debris from the collision, the release said.

The release said Gorman was taken to Bethesda North Hospital, where he died.

No one in the vehicles, including the drivers, was injured. 

Alcohol and other drugs are not suspected to have been a factor in the collision the release said.
