Paulo Fonseca has moved to the front of the queue to become the new Tottenham Hotspur manager.
Incoming Sporting Director Fabio Paratici has installed Fonseca as his number one choice of the available candidates to succeed Jose Mourino in what would constitute a job swap.
Fonseca was sacked by Roma this season and replaced by Mourinho, who was dismissed by Spurs.
No deal has been agreed as yet, but talks have moved quickly over the past few hours after Paratici shortlisted Fonseca and held talks with the Portuguese.
