Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam came to enjoy the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Siakam, who was selected as an injury replacement All-Star in the Eastern Conference, was hanging out on the sidelines with a vintage camcorder. It was delightful to watch Siakam experiment with the camera.

But it was not just because he is like former MLB star Randy Johnson and wanted to try his hand at sports photography. This was also a tribute to 15-time All-Star big man Shaquille O’Neal.

Take a look at the two players in a side-by-side comparison:

It was such a legendary move when Shaq brought his camcorder to the NBA Dunk Contest in 2000, and it was awesome for Siakam to remember it with a salute.

This wasn’t the first time that Siakam tried bringing the camera out during NBA All-Star Weekend:

This was such a fun decision from Siakam, even though Shaq once botched his name on TV.

Take a look at Siakam learning how to use the cameras when they were first delivered to him.

Siakam looked like he had a fun night, and hopefully, he is able to contribute well when he plays in the 2023 NBA All-Stae Game on Sunday Night.
