The Carolina Panthers finally made a pick and they used it on a familiar face. After trading down twice in the second round, Carolina used the No. 59 overall selection on LSU wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr., who of course brings experience with offensive coordinator Joe Brady.
Marshall (6-foot-3, 200 pounds), was extremely productive in his last two college seasons, totaling 23 touchdown catches and over 1,400 yards.
With Marshall in the room, he projects to be the team’s new No. 3 wide receiver behind D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson, bumping down free agent pickup David Moore a spot.
Along with adding tight end Dan Arnold, Marshall should help turn around the Panthers’ issues in the red zone and cushion some of the blow from losing Curtis Samuel to Washington.
