During today’s Direct, Nintendo unloaded a ton of third-party news, including updates on Mario + Rabbids, Bomberman, and Monster Hunter.

There was a Pac-Man World remake announcement tucked there. The repackaged Re-Pac will include the PS1 platformer for the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

The original game reimagined Pac-Man by removing him from the mazes that made him famous and putting him in a platformer. Pac-mission Man’s in Pac-Man World is to save his family, not to eat dots and hunt ghosts. In the trailer, you will see Ms Pac-Man and all of their Pac-Kids have been captured by ghosts.

Check out the reveal trailer for Pac-Man World Re-Pac below along with everything we know so far.

In addition to what he is known for, which is sprinting and chewing, Pac-Man is capable of much more. Create a bouncing, rolling, and hovering mascot for the original video game. Watch the trailer below:

Pac-Man World Remake Pre-order

The collection’s Amazon pre-order page went up a bit before the reveal, even though almost little about it was revealed during the Direct, including the video.

Pac-Man World Remake Gameplay

Re-Pac offers players a wider view of Pac-Man World in Quest Mode, boasting smoother, more intuitive gameplay, similar to the anniversary mode in Sonic Origins. However, you cannot do so until you have finished the game’s polished version. You can still play it as intended.

There is also Maze Mode if Quest Mode isn’t your thing or you want to go out and play something a little more traditional.

Even though it hasn’t been confirmed, it appears likely that the teased Fortnite collaboration will also be released shortly, perhaps in conjunction with the release of Re-Pac later this year.

The game will be available on Nintendo Switch and PS5.
