Ottawa County health leader gets praise, criticism after filing lawsuit, ‘kinky sex week’ drama

WEST OLIVE, MI — At Ottawa County’s first meeting since the leader of the health department filed a lawsuit against most of the county’s board of commissioners, Administrative Health Officer Adeline Hambley received both support and criticism from residents.

One county resident told county commissioners she was appalled that the county health department was linked to a special sexual education week at Grand Valley State University, while a different resident criticized the board for trying to replace Hambley.
