Orjan Nyland made one of the biggest goalkeeper errors of the 2021/22 season in Reading’s Championship clash against Luton on Saturday afternoon.
Luton went into the game needing a win to book their place in the playoffs.
And they were gifted a goal just before half-time after a catastrophic blunder from Reading’s number one.
Nyland had the ball in his hands and he put the ball down with the intention of kicking it forward.
However, he did not realise that Luton striker, Harry Cornick, was standing behind him.
As soon as the ball hit the ground, Cornick sprung into action and nicked the ball.
Nyland could not react in time as Cornick found the back of the net to give Luton the lead.
