Oregon’s eggshell uniforms vs. Washington led to some heated reviews and a lot of jokes

Oregon #Oregon

Oregon football typically makes some pretty loud fashion statements with its game day uniforms.

The Ducks’ Nike uniforms play with color and tradition, but they’re also sometimes super bright and flashy. They’re usually fun and always noticeable, good or bad. Like Saturday for No. 8 Oregon’s road game against No. 7 Washington.

In one of the most highly anticipated games of the 2023 season, the Ducks wore their eggshell uniforms, which are mostly white with metallic dark green numbers and small green specks splattered across them. The look also included silver chrome helmets, which look awesome, regardless of what you think of the uniforms themselves.

And while the Ducks and Huskies put on a spectacular show, fans on Twitter (now X) couldn’t help but comment on the uniforms.

Some fans loved them, others absolutely hated them and some folks in between just had some solid jokes, comparing them with aluminum foil, cookies and cream ice cream, a Jackson Pollock painting and bird poop.

Are these that bad?

Here’s a look at some of the mixed reviews of Oregon’s uniforms for Washington:

An abomination. A crime against fashion and maybe humanity. An affront to common sense and the goodness of college football.

Cookies and Cream is my favorite flavor of Oregon uniform.
