Open war between Gary Bettman and Senators new owner Michael Andlauer!

Andlauer #Andlauer

Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer came out swinging on Wednesday during the press conference confirmed that general manager Pierre Dorion had resigned. President of hockey operations Steve Staios would take over as interim general manager for the time being and will have to get the team back on track following the messy situation that will cost the Senators to forfeit a first round pick, a sanction from the Evgenii Dadonov aborted trade to the Vegas Golden Knights and subsequent, invalidated trade that would have sent the forward to the Anaheim Ducks in March 2022.

This mess prompted Andlauer to question why it took so long for the league to issue a ruling. The new owner, who put up a record price at nearly $1 billion when he purchased the Senators earlier this campaign, added:

“Maybe they didn’t want to disrupt [it] to make sure the seller got the best price possible.”

If you have Ken Campbell, this is probably the only time Andlauer will be allow to speak this freely and be so direct to the NHL and its commissioner Gary Bettman. The reporter believes Bettman will hold a grudge against the new Senators’ owner.

“I hope you all enjoyed how open and frank Michael Andlauer was today because I guarantee it’s the last you’ll see of it. I predict he will walk back his comments and we won’t hear a peep from him for a long time. Yes, Gary Bettman is that vengeful and vindictive.”

Does this mean open war or does Andlauer hopes, like most fans, that it will soon enough be the end of Bettman as the head of the NHL.
