Trayce Thompson’s first game of the season was a memorable one!

On Saturday night, center fielder Trayce Thompson did something that hasn’t been done by a Dodger since Mookie Betts in 2021. He went yard 3 times.

His 3 home runs equaled 8 runs batted in in LA’s 10-1 over the Arizona Diamondbacks. He hit 1,263 feet of homers, capped by a 440 foot shot in the 8th inning.

But the weirdest stat was spotted by Pat Dwyer on Twitter. Trayce hit each homer with the exact same exit velocity.

He also just missed out on the home run cycle falling a 2 run homer short of it. He hit a grand slam, a 3 run, and a solo shot.

After the game, Thompson kept it humble, giving SportsNet LA the copy/paste line that big leagues love to spout. He tried not to do too much.

“Just got some good pitches to hit and didn’t miss them.”

The important final question… will he be in the lineup on Sunday vs the right-hander?

Dave says yes.

The Dodgers wrap their series with the Diamondbacks on Sunday with Noah Syndergaard getting the start vs Zach Davies. First pitch is set for 1:10 PM PT.
