On hump day last week, a camel was rescued in Jung
Hump Day #HumpDay
Police and emergency services are prepared for a lot of different scenarios – yet rescuing a camel probably isn’t one of them.
Last week in Jung, police and locals rushed to the scene, where the humped creature had somehow snagged its foot on a railway line.
The Overland train service, which runs through the area, were alerted, as they worked to shepherd the camel back to its home on a farm nearby.
Ironically, this incident happened on ‘hump day’ – Wednesday – and among those on the scene were local newspaper journalist David Ward, who recounted the bizarre rescue to Rebekah Lowe.
