Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident Manchester United will deliver a more assured performance against Brighton after they were caught short against Crystal Palace last weekend.
United opened their campaign with a shock 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford seven days ago and their manager blamed a series of defensive errors on the lack of preparation time he and his squad were afforded.
Victor Lindelof was particularly culpable against the Eagles and Solskjaer talked up the possibility of restoring Eric Bailly to the centre of his defence for the trip to the Amex Stadium with the Ivory Coast international having returned to fitness.

Solskjaer, ultimately, made three changes but kept faith with Lindelof and selected the side which won convincingly on the south coast back in June.

Explaining his team selection, Solskjaer said: ‘We knew we were a couple of weeks behind and we looked a bit short.
‘We were not ready from the start against Crystal Palace but we have had a good week of training and a good game against Luton. We should be ready today.
‘This team played really well here last season and some of them were not ready to start last weekend but hopefully are now ready to perform in the Premier League.

“We played really well against Brighton because they are good on the ball and sharp and Graham has really put his principles in place.
‘If we turn up defensively, we have to be ready to press and we have to be sharper on the ball.’
