Oilers rally past Flyers behind Draisaitl, McDavid

EDMONTON — Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl each had three points for the Edmonton Oilers, who rallied for a 4-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers at Rogers Place on Tuesday.
McDavid had two goals and an assist, and Draisaitl had a goal and two assists for the Oilers (31-19-8), who had lost four straight. Stuart Skinner made 23 saves.
Noah Cates and Owen Tippett scored, and Carter Hart made 23 saves for the Flyers (23-26-10), who were coming off a 4-3 win at the Calgary Flames on Monday and are 1-4-1 in their past six games.
Draisaitl tied it 2-2 with a power-play goal at 6:49 of the third period. He shot into an open net from the bottom of the right circle off a backdoor pass from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
The goal was Draisaitl’s 700th NHL point, and McDavid earned his 800th NHL point on the play with the secondary assist.
McDavid put the Oilers ahead 3-2 at 12:39 when his backdoor pass deflected in off Flyers defenseman Travis Sanheim.
McDavid then scored a short-handed goal into an empty net at 17:35 for the 4-2 final.
Cates gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead at 10:01 of the first period, taking a pass from Wade Allison behind the net and scoring on a wraparound.
Tyson Barrie tied it 1-1 at 19:57, scoring glove side from the point following a face-off win by Draisaitl. The goal came three seconds into a power play.
Tippet put the Flyers back in front 2-1 at 11:37 of the second period, chipping a centering pass from Kevin Hayes over the shoulder of Skinner.
