Hamblin was loaned to AHL Bakersfield on Saturday, Mark Spector of Sportsnet reports.
Hamblin had two goals and three points across 31 games in a bottom-six role with Edmonton. The 24-year-old center will return to the AHL, where he’ll remain a depth option for the Oilers. Dylan Holloway was recalled in a corresponding move.
