OG Love Islander Kady McDermott returns to the villa as surprise bombshell

Fans of Love Island are in for a treat on Friday as Kady McDermott will make a surprise return seven years after her first appearance on the show.

The 27-year-old featured on season two of Love Island and many will remember Kady coupling up with fellow islander Scott Thomas.

The couple reached the final and continued their relationship off-screen, even moving in together after the show ended but split a year later to the shock of many fans.

Kady has her eyes on the prize this time round and isn’t planning on playing any games as she is looking for Mr Right and has the sound of wedding bells ringing in her ears.

Kady is on the prowl for a future hubby so she won’t be wasting any of her precious time with someone who isn’t as future-focused as she is.

She said: ‘The next person I’m with I want that to be marriage and babies. I don’t want to waste any more time with the wrong people – so I think I’ll be a lot pickier than what I was when I was previously in the villa.’

Although the Love Islander is entering the villa with experience under her belt, she doesn’t feel as though she has an advantage over the other girls, but will be using her wisdom and age to help guide her to success.

Kady has been keeping an eye on the villa shenanigans, and has been keeping notes on all the boys, with one handsome man in particular catching her attention.

‘Zach’s my number one, Tyrique on looks, but he might need his ego putting down a little bit. I also want to get to know Mitch,’ she said.

Chatting about why she’s decided to go back on Love Island, now Kady said: ‘I think I’m known from season 2 for being so chaotic. People always ask, “Do you have regrets?”, expecting me to say yes, but I was so true to myself and I was 100 per cent authentic.

‘I’ll still be like that now, but seven years on, I am more mature. I’m still the fiery pocket rocket but I know what I want and what I don’t want.

‘Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to be me and the fire I have is in my soul, I’ll never get rid of that and I love that about me, but I’m a lot more emotionally mature now, so I know how to navigate things better. I’ve grown up a lot.

‘Last time I got with Scott straight away and I was so tunnel vision. It’ll be interesting to see what connections I’ll form this time.’

Love Island dropped the bomb on viewers on Thursday with a short clip of Kady strutting her way down the famous Love Island driveway and fans were sent into a frenzy.

One viewer was particularly excited after recognizing Kady, saying: ‘NAH not Kady actually RETURNING???? This season is going to be ELITE I just know Kady is going to be beefing with every single Islander and the producers watch.’

Another referred to Kady’s wild antics back in the day and hoped to see her bring the same drama this time round, writing: ‘NO KADY was a menace remember she threw that drink… ITS GONNA GO DOWN.’
