Addo-Carr was the beneficiary of a dominant performance from his inside man Justin Olam but he had to finish each and every try off to secure his spot in the record books.
He is the first player to achieve the feat since Jack Troy of Newtown in 1950.

Round 9
The Foxx scores FOUR in first half!

The Storm winger terrorised Queensland Maroons Origin representative Dane Gagai for the entire 80 minutes, constantly getting on the outside of his opponent and reaping the rewards of playing on a devastating left edge.
So much has been made of South Sydney’s left-side attack but it was Melbourne making a statement on Thursday and Addo-Carr who made the biggest impression on the scoreline.
“Josh Addo-Carr creates history,” Fox League’s Warren Smith said in commentary.
“The first man in 71 years to score six tries at this level of the game.”
“That is incredible,” Greg Alexander added.
“The Melbourne Storm hit 50 and Josh Addo-Carr scores six tries. The man inside has played another huge part. Justin Olam pushes away from Benji Marshall and gets Josh Addo-Carr down the sideline outside Dane Gagai.

“71 years. That shows you just how hard it is to get across the flank six times in one game.”
“How good is that to see the Foxx, one of the best in our competition score six,” former teammate Cooper Cronk said.
“But you’re right Brandy, for all the raps Addo-Carr will get this week, Justin Olam needs to be in that conversation because he assisted in at least three directly and played a part in every one of them.
“Dane Gagai is pleading for something because he has been shown up by Josh Addo-Carr on that left flank.”
