Celtic conceded the lead to St Mirren – but after levelling through Odsonne Edouard the Saints piled on the misery by restoring their lead at Parkhead and infuriated the Celtic support looking on at home.

Kristian Dennis volleyed a lovely opener in for the Saints, but a burst from Callum McGregor and good finish from Odsonne Edouard levelled the scores.

However Ilkay Durmus put the visitors back in front stepping off Shane Duffy to hit the second and many blasted the Irish defender, but few were spared criticism from a poor first half.

@Jasonth45419453: “How do you continue to sink below the lowest of expectations?”

@T_Rreview: “Not even surprised anymore.”

@PatrickMurphy89: “All-nonsense Shane strikes again.”

@eightsixonesix: “It’s actually cruel on Duffy at this point. Lennon could have played Ralston today and left Ajer in his natural position. Or played Welsh, if he insists on Ajer at RB. Just baffles me.”

@EverythingCelt7: “Shane Duffy is one of the worst defenders I’ve seen in a Celtic top.”
