NORAD’s Santa Tracker: See where Santa is going next
Santa #Santa
For little kids – and big kids – across Michigan, there is still time to make sure you’re on Santa’s nice list.
As the countdown to Christmas Eve night kicks off, children can keep tabs on Jolly Old St. Nicholas using NORAD’s annual Santa Tracker. It gives the little ones a look at where Santa’s sleigh and reindeer team were last seen – and where they are headed next. A digital counter keeps track of all the gifts delivered to children in other parts of the world.
It’s the 65th Christmas this seasonal favorite has been handled by the North American Aerospace Defense Command.
Have a child who would rather call for an update on Santa’s progress? They can do that, too, though the pandemic has put more recorded updates into service this year.
“This year, only a small number of volunteers will be answering the NORAD Tracks Santa toll-free number, 1-877-Hi-NORAD, on Dec. 24. Callers who cannot reach one of these volunteers will receive a recorded update on Santa’s current location,” NORAD officials said.”
You can also track Santa via NORAD using new mobile apps to get up-to-the-minute Santa statistics. These apps are available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. You can keep tabs on Santa with several other NORAD Tracks Santa partners, including OnStar and Amazon Alexa.
Want to tune in via social media? NORAD Tracks Santa will also provide updates across its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram platforms.
