Last month, Styles graced the cover of Vogue in a dress. The photoshoot eventually earned both praise from fans and criticism from commentators who believe the One Direction member shouldn’t wear feminine clothes. Then, earlier this week, Styles indirectly responded to the criticism he received in the best way possible.

Since the Vogue photos were released, Styles has received support from various individuals in the entertainment industry including Jameela Jamil, Zach Braff and Olivia Wilde. On Thursday, he also earned support from Noah Cyrus on her Instagram story.

However, Cyrus used a derogatory term in her post defending Harry Styles which quickly received backlash online. Nearly 24 hours after the Instagram story went live, “Noah Cyrus” began trending on Twitter on Thursday.
