Nike Quietly Releases More of Kyrie Irving’s Shoes

Another shoe from Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving’s signature Nike line quietly released online.

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving had the worst start imaginable for the 2022-23 NBA season. Following his highly-controversial remarks, Irving served a seven-game suspension and lost his signature sneaker deal with Nike.

The fallout from Irving’s statements was swift. Nike canceled the upcoming release of Irving’s final signature shoe, the Nike Kyrie 8. Additionally, the company emailed retailers instructions to pull new merchandise from Irving’s signature line off sales floors.

Since the dramatic end to one of the most popular performance basketball lines of all time, both parties have gone on to do well. Irving was voted to his eighth NBA All-Star Game, and Nike has introduced a new signature sneaker line for Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant.

However, Nike is not finished with Irving yet. Earlier this week, Nike quietly released a new colorway from Irving’s second signature line – the Nike Kyrie Low series. Below is everything fans need to know about what could be Irving’s last shoe ever released.

The Nike Kyrie Low 5 ‘Wolf Grey’ was released on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Fans can purchase the shoes and shop for Irving’s discounted merchandise on Nike’s website.

The Nike Kyrie Low 5 was designed for nimble guards like Irving. The soft foam midsole contains a top-loaded Zoom Air unit under the forefoot, providing a burst of returned energy.

To maintain stability and court feel, the rubber outsole features a computer-generated traction pattern that allows players to change direction easily. Since the performance model was launched over a year ago, it has been a favorite among NBA and WNBA players.

Nike’s business relationship with Irving is quickly winding down. Now is the time for fans of the All-Star guard to purchase his shoes before they are gone forever.
