Nigella Lawson weight loss: Chef’s easy diet to lose three dress sizes

Nigella #Nigella

Nigella Lawson, 60, is an English food writer and television cook. Known for her tasty recipes, the chef has a number of television programmes showing viewers how to make indulgent meals and bakes. Nigella has spoken about her weight many times in the past, having lost a whopping two stone over the past couple of years. How did she do it?

Nigella is appearing on TV screens tonight in her new show, Nigella’s Cook, Eat, Repeat, where she will share her recipes for easy healthy home cooked foods like lamb shanks and a rich and gooey chocolate tahini pudding.

Cooking from home can not only help save money, but it can also help slimmers lose weight – just like Nigella.

In recent years, the chef revealed that she had lost three dress sizes, slimming down from a size 16 to a size 12.

Taking her weight loss journey steady, Nigella lost two stone over two years.

She told GoodHousing Keeping in an interview: “I do yoga three times a week. I have to do something I enjoy, otherwise I wouldn’t do it.

“The older I get the more I realise I have got to do lots of stretching. So even if I’m not doing yoga, I make myself do lots of stretching.

“As you get on in life, you value feeling well as opposed to looking well.

“Yoga certainly makes you feel great, and you want to carry on feeling great.”

She explained how she loves eating unprocessed foods such as kale and avocados as well as cooking more at home.

However she didn’t restrict herself from the occasional dessert and comfort food, which helped her stay on track and determined to lose weight gradually.

The NHS recommends losing around one to two pounds of fat per week, which will help slimmers not be restrictive in their eating.

For Nigella, mindset is everything and she previously said that she has never tried a diet to lose weight.

Instead, she listens to her body and cuts out processed foods as well as increasing her exercise.
