Nigel Farage to fight lockdowns by rebranding the Brexit Party as Reform UK

Nigel Farage is planning to relaunch the Brexit Party as an anti-lockdown party called Reform UK.

Mr Farage and Richard Tice, his deputy, are expected to announce the move today. The plan is subject to the approval of the Electoral Commission.

Reform UK intends to field candidates at May’s local elections in addition to policing and crime commissioner elections and the next general election.

Mr Farage and Mr Tice said they believed that “lockdowns don’t work” and their latest party would support a policy of “focused protection” from coronavirus for only the most vulnerable people.
