NFL Sunday Ticket goes down and leaves everyone furious

The last year of NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV is off to a rough start.
After glitches plagued the app last week, users experienced outages this week, leading to a mass of complaints on Twitter from football-less fans.
“So Sunday Ticket is just flat out now working now?” tweeted NFL Network’s Albert Breer.
“And my @DirecTV Sunday Ticket app is once again not working, after I got an email from them this week assuring me they fixed the technical glitches from last week,” wrote Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith.
The service appeared to be working normally on traditional satellite service.
“We’re aware customers are temporarily unable to stream NFL Sunday Ticket through the app and will share more when we restore the programming,” a DirecTV spokesperson told The Post’s Andrew Marchand.
Many fans took to Twitter to express outrage and exasperation. A number of people called for prorated refunds for the service, which hasn’t worked now for two out of the 18 days of the year that it’s widely used. The service costs a minimum of $293.94 for the season, with Sunday Ticket Max going for $395.99.
The NFL is expected to find a new partner for Sunday Ticket in 2023, with Roger Goodell having said he expects it to move to a streaming service.
