NFL rumors: Washington’s Dwayne Haskins, N.J. native, seen ‘partying maskless in a strip club’

Washington Football Team quarterback Dwayne Haskins is facing some tough questions which will require tough answers.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports “The Washington Football Team is aware of social media posts showing QB Dwayne Haskins partying maskless in a strip club, was in contact with the NFL yesterday about the matter and is handling the matter internally, I’m told.”
In addition, “a source has confirmed to 106.7 The Fan’s The Sports Junkies that photos circulating on social media do, in fact, accurately depict Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins partying after Sunday’s game against Seattle.”
“We have been told by someone who would know, who has seen the whole Instagram story before it was made private, that it was Dwayne Haskins and it was Sunday after the game,” said Junkies host John Auville on Tuesday morning.
According to 106.7 The Fan, “the photos — which derived from an Instagram account that has since been made private in the early hours of Monday morning — first began circulating social media on Monday afternoon.”
Pelissero reports “Washington has no plans to release QB Dwayne Haskins, who was fined for a previous COVID-19 protocol violation. Going to a nightclub without PPE is considered ‘High Risk COVID-19 Conduct,’ punishable by a maximum fine of one week’s salary or up to four-game suspension.”
This potential bombshell comes two days after head coach Ron Rivera made it quite clear where Haskins stands on the depth chart. Per the Washington Post:
Indeed, Coach Ron Rivera said without hesitation Sunday: “Alex Smith’s our starting quarterback right now. If he’s healthy and he’s ready to roll, he will.”
Pelissero reported Tuesday that “Washington is hoping Alex Smith (calf strain) can practice in some capacity this week. He’s considered day-to-day and hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Panthers.”
Smith watched from the sideline Sunday as Haskins tried to rally Washington, scoring 12 points in the fourth quarter before losing to the first-place Seattle Seahawks, 20-15.
Haskins got the start, and threw for 295 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, because Smith was recovering from a calf injury suffered the previous week in Washington’s 23-15 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Haskins, a Highland Park, N.J. native, was the No. 15 pick overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. He started Washington’s first four games this season, going 1-3. He was replaced by Kyle Allen, who went down with a season-ending ankle injury in the Week 9 loss to the New York Giants.
Enter Smith, who recovered from a horrible leg injury of his own suffered two years ago. Smith is a candidate for Comeback Player of the Year, going 4-1 as a starter before his injury last week.
Thanks in part to Smith, Washington (6-8) finds itself with a one-game lead over the Giants and Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.
