NFL fans couldn’t figure out why A.J. Brown was so upset at Jalen Hurts that Nick Sirianni had to step in

Admittedly, the Philadelphia Eagles haven’t played their best football to start the 2023 season. With a stacked roster like this, expectations in Philadelphia are sky-high. The defending NFC champions should not be eking out wins, but … they’re still 2-0.

Yet, for some reason, A.J. Brown seemed weirdly upset with Jalen Hurts late in their matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Never mind that the Eagles’ offense amassed 34 points and over 400 yards (259 on the ground!) in a win. Brown — who had four catches for 29 yards on six targets — apparently had a bone to pick with his starting quarterback.

And it got so testy that head coach Nick Sirianni stepped in to calm Brown down.

If Brown is upset about his usage, I get it. He has just 11 catches through two games and might not feel he’s being utilized like a bona fide WR1. And then there’s this eye-opening stat:

But bringing up a gripe about not getting the ball enough during a pivotal game on national television where your offense scored 34 points is not the time. This will be an intriguing situation to watch moving forward for one of the league’s genuine marquee teams.
