Guregian: If Patriots truly want Jimmy Garoppolo, just go get him

7:25 p.m. According to the NFL Network, the Patriots aren’t expected to trade for Garoppolo “anytime soon.” The Pats are hung up on Garoppolo’s contract — which currently carries at $26.4 million cap hit — while the 49ers want more than the Patriots are willing to trade. Negotiations have been described as a staring contest.
