NFL draft profile: Alijah Vera-Tucker of USC

Vera #Vera

USC offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker will bring versatility to any NFL team that drafts him. Vera-Tucker started 13 games at left guard in 2019 and earned second-team All-Pac-12. He moved over to left tackle during the 2020 season, stated all six of the Trojans’ games and earned first-team all-conference honors.

NFL analyst Lance Zierlein compares Vera-Tucker to New York Giants guard Will Hernandez.

“He was good (in 2019) as a guard, and he looked even better (in 2020) as a tackle!” a director of college scouting for an AFC team said. “I wouldn’t be shocked if teams looked at him as a tackle because he’s tough and athletic, and he’s no longer than people expect for his height.”
