Neymar Is Considering His Future At PSG

Neymar is reportedly considering his future at Paris Saint Germain after spending the last five years in the French capital.
Back in 2017, shockwaves were sent across the football world after Neymar completed a world record £198 million transfer from Barcelona to PSG.
The Brazilian has made a total of 144 appearances for the Parc des Princes club, scoring 100 goals. Many expected Neymar to be the main man at PSG and the man that can finally lead them to Champions League glory, but that didn’t materialise.
Last season, Neymar was booed by sections of the PSG fans after a poor performance saw them dumped out of the Champions League in dramatic style by eventual winners, Real Madrid. Now, he finds himself behind the shadows of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. His future now remains uncertain.
According to French news outlet RMC Sport, Neymar is seriously considering a move away due to not feeling loved by the club.
This comes after club president Nasser Al Khelaifi criticised the player’s performances last season, and he also refused to make it clear whether Neymar will be at the club come the start of the new season.
He said to Le Parisien, via RMC Sport: “A possible departure of Neymar this summer? What I can tell you is that we expect all players to do a lot more than last season. A lot more!”
Al Khelaifi added: “They all have to to be 100%. Obviously, we weren’t good enough to go far. For next season, the objective is clear: to work every day at 200%. To give everything we have for this jersey , give the maximum and we will see the result.”
“You have to become humble again. You have to change to avoid injuries, suspensions and fouls that change a game.”
It is believed that Neymar felt targeted by the president’s comments, and this is pushing him closer to the exit door.
However, not many clubs in world football could afford to offer Neymar a way out, due to his huge salary and potentially massive transfer fee.
According to AS, Neymar has been offered to Italian giants, Juventus. But it is believed that Juventus have told the Brazilian’s representatives that the club are unable to afford his wages.
Other clubs such as Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Newcastle are all said to be in the running to sign Neymar but all are put off by the cost.
It seems that if Neymar is to force his way out of Paris, he first has to lower his wage demands.
