There have been several favourites for the Leeds job vacated by Jesse Marsch and former Watford boss Javi Gracia is the new man at the fore.

All odds are taken from Oddschecker…

1) Javi Gracia

The former Watford boss who took them to the 2019 FA Cup final is the new, sudden favourite for the Leeds job. He is out of work after leaving Qatar club Al-Sadd.

2) Michael Skubala

The caretaker manager should not be under consideration for the permanent job after a critical loss at Everton.

3) Rafa Benitez

Not a popular appointment but possibly a sensible one. He at least knows ‘our game’.

4) Steven Gerrard

This has disaster written all over it.

5) Nuno Espirito Santo

A complete different style of football to Bielsa/Marsch from the former Tottenham and Wolves man who is currently in Saudi Arabia and would very much like to return to the Premier League, thank you.

6) Andoni Iraola

A former player under Marcelo Bielsa at Athletic Bilbao, Iraola is currently the manager of Rayo Vallecano. His style is very Bielsa-like and he would presumably have the approval of the great man himself. But he has now been ruled out.

7) Pedro Martins

The 52-year-old is currently boss of Qatari side Al-Gharafa SC and spent four years with Olympiakos between 2018 and 2022, winning three Greek titles in that time.

8) Graham Potter

The Chelsea head coach is the current favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked. Would he go straight back into management if he is dismissed by Todd Boehly?

9) Gerardo Martino

Formerly in charge of Barcelona, Martino admitted this week he “would not just go anywhere”. He wants a ‘project’.

10) Lucien Favre

Because there’s always room for Lucien Favre.
