Newcastle United have launched their new 2021/22 home shirt, which is the first to be made by British sportswear brand Castore following an 11-year partnership with Puma.

The design of the new shirt is specifically inspired by the one worn by Kevin Keegan’s great ‘entertainers’ of the mid-1990s, with a star-studded Magpies side finishing second in the Premier League two seasons in a row.

Wide black and white stripes are complemented by a white collar, as was the 90s look, featuring a long strip of white buttons. Betting firm Fun88 remains the sponsor for a fifth consecutive season.

To go with the retro look, Castore has loaded the new kit with technology and innovation, designing it to be ‘lightweight, highly breathable and moisture-wicking’. It is also made from high stretch fabric, offering better movement and comfort.
