Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is expected to leave the hospital and return to his Senate duties soon, according to his staff.
No timetable has been given, but it is believed Fetterman will remain in the hospital for at least another week, per WGAL.

The freshman senator checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Feb. 15 to seek treatment for clinical depression. The current hospital stay is his second since entering office in January after he spent two days in the hospital in February after feeling lightheaded.
Fetterman was elected in November 2022, only months after he suffered a nearly fatal stroke. Fetterman has assured the public he will make a full recovery. He still suffers from auditory processing symptoms as a result of his stroke and uses special closed-captioning tools and professional transcribers in real time to assist him in his duties in the Senate.
Aides to Fetterman said earlier this month that he was “well on his way to recovery,” with his chief of staff Adam Jentleson posting pictures of the senator in the hospital.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was asked when he expects Fetterman to return at a press conference on Thursday but did not outline a specific time frame.
“We want to give him the space to recuperate,” Schumer said. “He needs it, it’s fair, it’s right. There are other people in the Senate who have taken their time to recuperate, but I’m confident he’s going to come back and be an outstanding and fine senator.”

The Senate has not had a full roster voting on a bill since August 2022, as the absences of Fetterman and Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) have caused some holdup in the upper chamber of Congress.
Feinstein, 89, is recovering from shingles, while McConnell, 81, is recovering from a concussion suffered from a fall.
