Nets vs. Bucks score: Live NBA playoff updates as Giannis-led Milwaukee takes on Brooklyn superteam in Game 1

Giannis #Giannis

Two of the NBA’s top title contenders face off in the second round of the playoffs when the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks square off with an Eastern Conference finals berth on the line. The Nets are 10-3 when their Big Three play together this season, including 4-1 in the playoffs. While the Nets’ trio of stars made it through the first round without any injury issues, they did not enjoy the same success against the Bucks as James Harden was forced to leave the game with a hamstring injury in the opening minutes and will not return. Entering the fourth quarter, it is Brooklyn’s shorthanded roster that owns a double-digit lead over Milwaukee.

The No. 3 Bucks, coming off a first-round sweep against the Miami Heat, will face an opponent that is a much tougher test for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. Milwaukee won the regular-season series 2-1 against Brooklyn — the home team won all three times — but the second-seeded Nets are clicking at the right time as their three superstars were healthy and playing together regularly. Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving tormented the Boston Celtics in the first round, averaging a combined 85.5 points per game.
