Nella Rose’s tragic family past revealed after she lost both her mum and dad in the space of just four years

I’M A Celebrity’s YouTube sensation Nella Rose has been the bubbly life and soul of the camp so far.
While her star is very much on the rise, with the jungle giving her the chance of gaining millions more fans, happy go lucky Nella has had to overcome devastating heartache in recent years.

The influencer’s mum Eseho Omolongo and dad Kamango Paul Hollela both died within the space of four years, turning Nella’s life on its head.
The straight-talking star, who was born in Belgium and watched videos of I’m A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec as a child to develop her British accent, is all too aware she’s defied the odds to get where she is.
She told her TikTok followers: “When you’re an immigrant, have been homeless, lost both parents, family have disowned you, constantly body shamed but God continues to bless you.”
On YouTube, Nella opened up about the sudden loss of her mum in 2019, revealing she died in her arms.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, Nella Rose said: “Literally not even a month, a couple of weeks, after I turned 19 my mum passed away and it was something that you don’t expect.
“You don’t plan, it just happened.
“I didn’t wake up that day and think ‘oh my mum is going to pass away’.
“She literally just died in my arms.

“It is the worst thing that happened in my life. I will never get over it.
“I have learned to deal with it, but I do not see myself healing from it anytime sure.”
She was then kicked out of her council flat where she lived with her brother.
Nella sofa-surfed throughout university in Leicester before eventually getting her own place.
“I didn’t want this to be my life,” Nella said in a video five years ago.
“I wanted to live with my mum until I was 25. I was forced to let go of that.
“All my friends when they left Uni they got to go back to their parents and get cooked meals, save so much money… I had to basically be alone for the rest of my life until I get married.
“Me, my mum and my brother used to be the three musketeers. Sometimes life is so unfair.”
Tragically, in 2020, her dad passed away.

Sharing a heartfelt tribute to her dad on social media, Nella said: “Rest in Peace Daddy, watching you suffer for the past month has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life but at least you’re not in pain anymore. Gonna make you the proudest dad ever in the years to come because I know you’re still by [my] side every step of the way.”
