NCT’s Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo Injured on Set—Read Full Statement

NCT members Johnny, Jaehyun and Jungwoo were rushed to hospital on Friday, December 9 after sustaining injuries during a shoot.

The trio were filming a commercial alongside their fellow members when they fell from a 2-meter high jungle gym structure, Koreaboo reported.

NCT’s record label SM Entertainment has released a statement following the event. Here is everything you need to know.

SM Entertainment released a statement on Friday via KWANGYA CLUB, it was reported, and in it they confirmed that Johnny, Jaehyun and Jungwoo had been injured when the jungle gym collapsed.

The three K-Pop stars were then transferred to hospital and the record label confirmed that they are currently being treated for their injuries. It was also reported that a fourth member, Taeil, had also fallen but he was uninjured and has since been released from the hospital.

Per Koreaboo, SM Entertainment’s full statement read: “Hello. We are relaying news regarding NCT’s Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo’s injuries.

“On Friday, Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo suffered injuries due to the set’s jungle gym collapsing. The members were transferred to the hospital immediately and are currently receiving treatment and examinations but will need to be examined further.

“Due to this, Jungwoo will miss the December 10 filming of MBC’s Show! Music Core. Further changes in members’ schedules related to this incident will be released in a future statement.

“We would like to relay our apologies for the sudden news and state that we will do our best to treat our artists and aid in their recovery.”
