Giannis Antetokounmpo props: Over 32.5 points (-111 or better)

There’s a though running around the NBA right now that says if you want a career-high, go play the Brooklyn Nets.

Okay, maybe the Greek Freak won’t beat his 52-point record, but he is in for an explosive box score.

The Nets rank dead last in defensive rating and just gave up 38 points to Ja Morant and Desmond Bane in their last game.

Giannis is also a player who gets up for tough matchups, especially against Kevin Durant.

The two-time MVP also just scored 44 points in 28 minutes Monday against the Houston Rockets and should have no problems navigating a lightweight Brooklyn frontcourt.

Kevin Durant props: Over 40.5 points, rebounds, and assists (-120 or better)

Durant has begun this season on a scoring tear with an average of 32 over the first three games, but tonight is a night that may require a bit more of a balance, so we’re covering all three.

In the seven-game series these teams played against one another in last year’s conference semifinals, Durant’s lowest PRA total was 42.

Ben Simmons has taken some of the rebounding burden off Durant’s hands, but we still expect enough boards and distribution to get KD to 41 total points, assists, and rebounds.

It’s a huge early-season game for a Nets team that has already given up 130+ points twice and will need its best player to fill the stat sheet to have any chance.

Anthony Davis props: 30+ points (+200 or better)

Davis does not have the same touch on his jumper that he did in his championship season with the Lakers, but he looks more motivated than he did the past couple of seasons.

He will also be going against reigning back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic and will salivate at the opportunity to prove a point against a tough opponent.

The Lakers always want to run their offense through Davis, and with Russell Westbrook set to miss the game with a hamstring injury, he will receive even more looks than usual.

Less venturous bettors can grab Davis for over 24.5 points at (-111) or better.

Karl-Anthony Towns props: Over 8.5 rebounds (-120 or better)

Towns is one-half of the reincarnation of the “twin towers,” alongside new teammate Rudy Gobert.

He started the season looking a little out of place at the power forward spot but has adjusted and improved his rebound total in every game.

The San Antonio Spurs, Towns’ opponent Wednesday night, only rank 22nd in rebounding rate, and their top rebounder (Jakob Poeltl) will spend most of his time matched up with Gobert.

Towns should have free control of his side of the painted area and snag at least 10 rebounds, just like he did in his most recent outing.

Paolo Banchero props: Under 19.5 points (-118 or better)

Banchero has only played four professional games since being taken with the first overall draft pick this summer, and he has mostly proven himself.

The 19-year-old has scored at least 20 points in every game and is averaging 22.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists for a young and energetic Orlando Magic team.

However, Banchero is in for a rough night against the Cleveland Cavaliers’ menacing frontcourt rotation. It has size, mobility, and above-average to elite instincts around the rim.

Expect the Cavs to key in on Banchero on defense and force the ball out of his hands and for him to score less than 20 for the first time.

Kyle Lowry props: Under 12.5 points (-128 or better)

Lowry has atrocious shooting splits this season for a Miami Heat team that has plenty of other offensive options to go to.

The 36-year-old has also decreased his shot attempts in each of his last three games and is struggling for confidence.

Even worse for Lowry, he will have to spend most of his night chasing Damian Lillard around the perimeter, which will be sure to zap his legs of energy.

If there’s one thing that a struggling shooter does not need, it is tired legs, and all of that is a recipe for Lowry to post another woeful box score on Wednesday.
