The all-encompassing Kia Skills Challenge is the leadoff event for 2024 NBA All-Star Saturday night, which is set to begin at 8 p.m. EST.

Who is participating in the 2024 Kia Skills Challenge?

Three teams of three players will go head-to-head to see who’s got the widest range of skills. Those teams are as follows:

Team Pacers: Tyrese Haliburton (Pacers), Bennedict Mathurin (Pacers), Myles Turner (Pacers)

Team Top Picks: Paolo Banchero (Magic), Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Victor Wembanyama (Spurs)

Team All-Stars: Scottie Barnes (Raptors), Tyrese Maxey (76ers), Trae Young (Hawks)

What is the format for the 2024 Kia Skills Challenge?

The Skills Challenge will go three rounds with rules in place in the event of ties.

Round 1: The Team Relay will call for all three members to handle a loop that begins with a precision 35-foot outlet pass, dribbling and shooting tasks. Fastest team wins.

Round 2:Team Passing will feature a variety of passing challenges where equal participation is required for all three players. Most points accumulated wins.

Round 3: Team Shooting is a 60-second countdown where all three players work with one ball. They shoot from five spots on the floor to amass the most points.

Tiebreakers: Individual tiebreaker procedures are in place for Rounds 1, 2 and 3. The tiebreaker in the event two more or teams are square after three rounds will be half-court shots.

NBA All-Star Saturday is set to start at 8 p.m. EST on TNT.
