Namor #Namor
Capping off all of the news it shared during its panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios dropped the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Directed by the original-movie director, Ryan Coogler, the sequel picks up where Black Panther and deals with the death of star Chadwick Boseman, who played T’Challa, cinematically.
The trailer starts off by showing a nation in mourning, following the death of King T’Challa, highlighting those closest around him. While Wakanda undoubtedly looks to regain its footing a new threat begins to surface. In a first look, we get a better understanding of Namor the Sub-Mariner, played by Tenoch Huerta. Rising from the ocean, the King of Atlantis is shown from an Aztec-inspired civilization and has his sights sets on Wakanda.
Other scenes tease the upcoming appearance of Riri Williams/Ironheart, and Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, picking up the mantle of the Black Panther.
