BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty returned to the famous red sofa after a mysterious absence, and she didn’t hold back as she clashed with Tory minister Chris Philp live on air.
The 48 year old presenter was back on telly on Thursday morning with Charlie Stayt. They woke up the nation with the latest news from around the world.
They invited policing minister Chris Philp onto the show qhere they discussed the Government’s new measures that could see protesters jailed for climbing on war memorials. This is part of a crackdown on protests following an incident in November when pro-Palestine protesters climbed on the Royal Artillery Memorial in London.
However, fans were thilled to see Naga back on their screens as many aired their concern last week after she was replaced by a number of her co-stars. The presenter was replaced by Nina Warhurst and Rachel Burden, who joined Charlie in the studio to present.
Taking to X on Thursday, @tel677544549662 tweeted: “#BBCBreakfast Good to see Naga back and holding people to account.”
@JaneStRetCP agreed: “Good to see Naga back and pinning Chris Philip down over Sunak’s terrible comments #BBCBreakfast.”
