MTV crowns the finest African talent at the MAMA’s

Mamas #Mamas

Mtv Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) recently crowned their winners from amongst the finest African Music personalities.

With an impressive list of the finest and most talented artistes in Africa, the MAMAs announced their nominees list a few months ago and the winners were crowned last night.

Sauti Sol were Kenyan boy band nominated for this year’s “Best African Group Award at the MAMA Awards alongside Amani in the “Best Collaboration Award” along Radio and Weasel, all of who flew to the South African city of Johannesburg to see if they stood a chance to take the crown home.

Despite causing a stir thanks to their recent hit song “Nishike”, the band lost to Mafikizolo  of the hit song Khona, while Amani lost to the “Y-tjukutja” collaboration group.

Davido from Nigeria went ahead to win the coveted Best Male Artiste Awards beating the likes of Diamond from Tanzania while Tiwa Savage won Best Female Artiste.
