Monday to start off cool ahead of warm day
Good Monday #GoodMonday
(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening and happy Sunday Funday! After what was a wonderful Sunday across the region, we are generally expecting more of the same on the way for Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the 70s and partly cloudy skies. In the middle of the week, we are expecting another soaker on Wednesday as a storm system moves through the region. More rain is also expected on Friday as a cold front moves through the region.
As for tonight and Monday, patchy fog is possible overnight but not to the extent that we saw this morning. Lows overnight will dip down into the 40s, followed by another very mild day on Monday with highs up again into the low 70s with partly cloudy skies. More of the same is expected on Tuesday, but clouds will increase later in the day ahead of our next storm system.
Wednesday looks to be a near washout for the Carolinas as an area of low pressure, similar to this past Friday, moves through the region. There is some potential for some isolated thunderstorms as well, but severe weather potential is low. Upwards of an inch or more are possible, along with cooler temperatures in the mid- to upper-50s. Temperatures will quickly rebound on Thursday back into the mid-60s before more rain returns to the region on Friday.
A cold front will move through the Carolinas Friday into Saturday, with more rain expected, followed by slightly cooler temperatures over the weekend, but overall, our mild pattern looks to continue. In the meantime, enjoy the great weather to start the week!
