Molly-Mae Hague, the reality TV celebrity and ex Love Island star, recently gave birth and in an Instagram post announced her baby’s name. But what does the name mean?
In a picture of the family’s nursery, the name ‘Bambi’ is shown on the wall in neon alongside cloud lights, a cream sofa and – in the cot – a small stuffed deer resembling the character from the classic 1942 Disney animated film Bambi.

It’s Italian in origin and comes from the words ‘bambino’ and ‘bambina’ which mean ‘baby boy’ and ‘baby girl’ respectively. Alternatively, Bambi also works as a nickname for Amber.
