A minor earthquake struck the Montreal region Monday evening.
The quake, measured as 3.0-magnitude by the U.S. Geological Survey, had its epicentre just north of Laval in the Terrebonne area at 9:23 p.m. at a depth of 9.8 kilometres.
No damage was immediately reported. A 3.0-magnitude earthquake, while strong enough to be felt, rarely causes significant damage.
