New York Jets quarterback Mike White met with reporters Monday as the team cleaned out their lockers for the season and believes there is a chance he could be returning to the same locker room next season.
White is set to be a free agent but told the media there is mutual interest in him returning to the team he started four games for this season.
He did note that things can change quickly in the NFL, as they always tend to.
White finished the season with 1,192 passing yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions in four starts this season, including two games with 300 yards and a three-touchdown performance in his first start against the Chicago Bears.
The Jets will have plenty of decisions to make at the quarterback position. Zach Wilson is the only one currently under contract for 2023 and many believe he is not the quarterback of the future. The Jets are expected to be in the veteran quarterback market. White could return as the No. 3 quarterback, but as White said, things can and will change quickly in the NFL.
