Mike Tomlin was asked about his future with Steelers after Bills loss. His response has social media buzzing

Mike Tomlin’s future with the Pittsburgh Steelers had been the topic of speculation heading into Monday’s playoff loss at Buffalo.

And that speculation is only going to grow after the way he handled his postgame press conference because a reporter asked him about it, pointing out that he had a year left on his contract.

His response had social media buzzing.

Tomlin turned and walked out the door.

He didn’t say a thing, but it feels like he may have said a whole lot, too. Of course, who knows, exactly what that statement was, exactly?

Maybe he didn’t want to talk about the future on the heels of a tough loss.

Tomlin is the only person who seems to truly know, and because of that, expect the rumor mill to keep on churning.

You can see the exchange here.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently said that Tomlin would have the chance to choose his fate as it pertains to the future. He could stay in Pittsburgh or he could move on to another team.

Schefter said that Washington, which fired Ron Rivera, would be a franchise to watch for Tomlin.

He also said that Tomlin could just decide to take some time off, too.

That would be understandable because Tomlin, 51, has been coaching since he took the gig as VMI’s wide receivers coach in 1995. He took over as the Steelers head coach in 2007 and helped guide the team to a win in Super Bowl XLIII.

Tomlin has a career record of 173-100-2.
