Michelle Obama, Mia Hamm among 9 chosen for Women’s HOF

Halstead is the first United States Military Academy female graduate to become a general and the only female general in Iraq with a battlefield command. On Monday, March 8, 2021, Halstead was named along with former first lady Michelle Obama and soccer star Mia Hamm to the 2021 class of the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
