Michael Jordan’s Son and Scottie Pippin’s Ex Have Called It Quits

IT LOOKS LIKE Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen’s relationship has come to the end of the road, with Pippen scrubbing all trace of Jordan from her Instagram, and multiple insiders telling media outlets that the “tension” between the two of them had grown untenable.

Former baller Jordan and reality star Pippen, both of whom recently appeared on Season 2 of The Traitors US, have had their share of ups and downs over the last year or so: their romance was complicated by baggage relating to people outside of the relationship. Namely, Jordan’s father, NBA great Michael Jordan, and Pippen’s ex-husband (and Jordan’s former teammate) Scottie Pippen, whose decades-old feud has been reignited by the ESPN documentary series The Last Dance.

When his son and Scottie’s ex started dating, the basketball legend was asked by reporters whether he approved of their relationship, and his answer was a simple, resounding: “No!” This undoubtedly would have made things awkward as hell for the new lovebirds—and is believed to have contributed to the inevitable breakup, despite Jordan’s claims that his dad wasn’t serious and actually supported them.

“Marcus said Michael was joking when he said he didn’t approve, but it really mortified Larsa,” a source told Page Six. “The history between Michael and Scottie made things complicated, even if Larsa and Marcus did their best to make it a non-issue… At the end of the day, Michael is Marcus’ dad and Scottie is the father of Larsa’s children.”

There’s also the possibility that the specter of Scottie Pippen may also have loomed large in the bedroom.

During a Real Housewives of Miami reunion taping in 2023, Pippen bragged to Andy Cohen that she and her ex-husband had sex “four times a night, every night” for their entire marriage, saying: “I never had a night off for 23 years.” She then went on to clarify in a later interview that she and Jordan had beat that number, doing it up to “five times a night.”

Pippen’s repeated insistence on disclosing these kinds of intimate details could be interpreted as exaggeration—or even overcompensation. Or maybe it’s all true, in which case, now the Bravo star can finally enjoy a night off.
