‘Melo’ Ball Proves The Doubters Wrong

Melo #Melo

Exactly one day after being one assist shy of a triple-double against his brother, LaMelo Ball came back on the second night of back-to-back games with a chip on his shoulder.

The Charlotte Hornets point guard led the team to a win over the Atlanta Hawks coming off the bench.

Ball, who recorded 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists,  became the youngest player to record a triple-double, breaking Markelle Fultz’s previous mark.

‘Melo’ (19 years and 140 days) went 9-13 from the field, 3-5 from the three-point mark as the Hornets defeated the Hawks 113-105.

This is an astonishing accomplishment, considering when his older brother Lonzo Ball was a rookie with the Los Angeles Lakers, he achieved the same milestone, breaking LeBron James’s mark in 2017.

“It’s just basketball,” Ball said. “I’m doing what I love.”
