Melania seen for the first time since Trump’s arrest at Easter brunch

Melania Trump was spotted for the first time since her husband’s arrest last week enjoying an Easter brunch with him on Sunday at his Mar-a-Lago club. The former first lady and 76-year-old ex-president were caught on camera walking together inside Mar-a-Lago’s ballroom to a standing ovation from a crowd, with the couple sitting alone together behind velvet ropes as they enjoyed the holiday meal. The outing marked a return to normal for Donald and Melania, who have typically been pictured together for Easter brunch in the past as part of a holiday tradition. Trump was dressed in his usual suit and tie, with Melania, 52, sporting a white blouse with a purple floral -pattern. They could be seen conversing as Melania leaned in at times to speak with him. This latest outing was notably the first time Melania was seen at her husband’s side after she was absent from his speech last Tuesday following his Manhattan arraignment, where he was charged with 34 felony counts regarding hush-money payments he allegedly made to porn star Stormy Daniels and others. Her absence was also jarring as her father, Viktor Knavs, was seen in the front during the speech sitting beside Trump’s two eldest sons. The former first lady and former president were caught walking together inside Mar-a-Lago’s ballroom. Trump was dressed in his usual suit and tie, while Melania wore a white blouse with a purple floral -pattern. She has remained quiet on the hush-money case, and only broke her social media silence earlier on Sunday to wish everyone a “Happy Easter!” Trump also took to social media on Sunday for holiday greetings but mainly focused them on condemning his critics, writing: “Happy Easter to All — including ‘weak & pathetic RINOS [Republicans in Name Only]’ and ‘radical left Democrats, socialists Marxists, & communists’ and others who oppose stricter border security and voting laws. “HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, INCLUDING THOSE THAT DREAM ENDLESSLY OF DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF DREAMING ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE. This is the first time Melania was spotted since her husband’s arrest last week. “THOSE THAT ARE SO INCOMPETENT THEY DON’T REALIZE THAT HAVING A BORDER AND POWERFUL WALL IS A GOOD THING, & HAVING VOTER I.D., ALL PAPER BALLOTS, & SAME DAY VOTING WILL QUICKLY END MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD, & TO ALL OF THOSE WEAK & PATHETIC RINOS, RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS, SOCIALISTS MARXISTS, & COMMUNISTS WHO ARE KILLING OUR NATION, REMEMBER, WE WILL BE BACK,” he added. Trump is expected back in Manhattan court in December after pleading not guilty to falsifying business record charges, including making a $130,000 payment to Daniels to keep quiet about their alleged affair to help his 2016 campaign.
