Meek Mill Tries To Silence The Uproar, Says He Apologized To Vanessa Bryant For His Kobe Lyrics

Meek #Meek

Meek Mill may have taken things way too far by speaking out against a beloved, legendary hero in a far too abrasive way.

Meek Mill is as known for his controversial moments in life as he is for his music. Often caught up in moments of conflict and strife with Tekashi 6ix9ine, and always in the spotlight for his relationship with Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill isn’t a stranger to finding himself in sticky situations with fans and with the media.

This time, he may have taken things way too far by speaking out against a beloved, legendary hero in a far too abrasive way. He recently dropped some seriously controversial lyrics about Kobe Bryant and fans have been in an uproar. He referenced Kobe and his daughter Gianna’s death in lyrics used in his song Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe), a project he and Lil Baby were collaborating on.

Defending himself against angry critics, by stating that he apologized to Vanessa Bryant doesn’t seem to be enough. Across the globe, fans are calling for Meek Mill to be canceled.

Meek Messed With A Legend

Meek Mill may have gotten away with a lot of controversy in the past, but it appears nobody is going to let this one slide. Fans of Kobe Bryant have been rocked by his early death, and have continued to pay homage to his legendary contributions to the world of basketball. His family has been in the spotlight as they struggle to mourn his death, and the loss of Gianna, and this story has gripped Kobe’s loyal fans across the nation.

The lyrics in question state; ““This b**** I’m f***in’ always tell me that she love but she ain’t ever showed me,” the song goes. “Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.”

Recently Vanessa Bryant took to social media to blast him for his inappropriate lyrics, lacing in to him for being disrespectful, and issuing a harsh post that calls Meek out for ‘lacking respect and tact.’

The Apology

Meek Mill is treading water to keep himself alive, as fans call for his immediate cancelation. In what appears to be a desperate effort to keep his head off the chopping block, he released a tweet indicating that he had made amends with Vanessa Bryant.

As fans continued to bombard his Twitter feed demanding his immediate apology be issued to Vanessa Bryant and her grieving family, Mills claimed that he had already apologized to her directly.

Comments to his page suggest fans aren’t buying it, nor are they enough. Fans wrote in to say; “it’s cool if rappers use Kobe’s name, and we not mad at him cause he’s just meek, we mad at him cause he DISRESPECTED KOBE’S NAME after his death…. do you see where you’re wrong ? We gonna get mad at WHOEVER disrespect Kobe’s name like that,” and “why would you say some shit about Kobe in the first place, tf was you thinkin?”
